Gillian Wearing’s Diane Arbus, Central Park, New York City, 2021
To be an artist in a great city, in the world,
Is to be clay molded every day into a bust,
As gust to gust, the fantastic wind blows
Around & through lenses who filter chaos,
Create aesthetic orders in tune with time,
And hence the importance of contemplation,
To be alone with one’s self, become wind.
